Project Engineer

We are currently looking for Project Engineers in California.

Your objective:

A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking a project engineer with 1-3 years of experience in heavy highway construction. Candidate will contribute to a variety of projects including but not limited to site development, military, and DOT(Caltrans). We work on a variety of grading and asphalt paving projects and seek a motivated individual to assist our superintendents in the successful execution of these projects. Responsibilities:

• Assist superintendents in progress billing, track submittals, RFIs, and contract change orders.
• Job cost tracking/updates.
• Develop/maintain CPM schedules.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on a variety of projects.
• Track quantities.
• Traffic control plans.
• Earthwork Take-offs.
• Understand contract documents (plans, specifications, contracts, etc.)
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Requirements:

• Hard-working individual who has demonstrated leadership skills and who thrives in a teamwork environment.
• The individual must be highly organized and able to communicate well with others.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Excellent writing, presentation and computer skills.
• Willingness to be flexible and occasionally work long hours.

This position require satisfactory completion of a physical ability test and clean drug and alcohol screening.
